Privacy Policy
Last updated November 5, 2026
Creator CFO is operated by Saltwater Investments LLC d/b/a Creator CFO ("Creator CFO", "we"). This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider).
- Workspace information: your business name, the details you put on invoices, and who belongs to your workspace.
- Contracts and documents you upload, such as brand agreements and amendments.
- Deal and financial data you enter or approve: brands, deals, deliverables, dates, usage rights, invoices, payments and expected cash.
- Subscription and billing data: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan and billing status, subscription invoice and payment status, and a billing address or tax identifier if you provide one. Full card numbers are entered with and handled by Stripe, our payment processor; Creator CFO does not store full card numbers.
- Basic technical data needed to run the service, such as error reports and email delivery status.
- Product usage and diagnostic events: records of key actions in the app (for example, creating a workspace, starting or completing a contract analysis, or applying reviewed terms) and of errors and failures. We use these to operate and secure the service, find and fix problems, measure reliability and improve Creator CFO. They are not used for advertising.
How we use it
- To provide Creator CFO: organizing your deals, deadlines, rights, invoices and receivables.
- To analyze contracts you choose to analyze (see below).
- To manage your subscription and trial, determine your workspace's access, prevent fraud and keep accounts secure, and support you with billing questions.
- To send account emails (verification, password reset) and invoice emails you choose to send.
- To find and fix problems, and to support you when you contact us.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your contracts for advertising.
AI-assisted contract analysis
When you ask Creator CFO to analyze a contract, its text is sent to an AI model provider to suggest terms such as amounts, dates, deliverables and rights. Suggestions are never applied automatically: nothing changes in your workspace until you review and approve it. AI output can be wrong or incomplete, and you are responsible for checking it against your contract.
Where your data is stored
- Your data and uploaded files are kept in a managed cloud database and private file storage. Files are not publicly accessible; access is checked each time a file is previewed or downloaded.
- Access is limited to members of your workspace.
- We keep backup copies of uploaded files with a separate storage provider for disaster recovery. Backups are retained for a period (currently up to one year) and may persist for that period after you delete a file.
Service providers
We rely on third-party providers to run Creator CFO, including providers for:
- hosting, database, authentication and file storage;
- payment processing and subscription billing (Stripe);
- AI contract analysis;
- transactional and authentication email;
- error monitoring (reports are filtered to remove contract text, financial details and personal information where possible);
- off-site backups.
These providers process data only to deliver their service to us.
Browser storage
- Our authentication provider stores your sign-in session in your browser so you stay signed in securely.
- Creator CFO stores a small amount of app state in your browser's local or session storage, such as your active workspace, temporary notices you have dismissed and one-time navigation steps.
- This storage is used for authentication, security, navigation and preferences, not for advertising.
Your choices
- You can edit your profile and workspace details in Settings.
- You can move documents to Trash and delete them.
- Subscription and billing actions are controlled by workspace owners, who can manage or cancel a subscription in the Stripe Customer Portal. Workspace members cannot start or manage a Creator CFO subscription.
- To request a copy of your data, email support@creatorcfo.app.
- Deleting your account: signed-in users can request deletion in Settings → Account. If you can't sign in, follow the steps on our account deletion page. We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days after verification. This is a target, and specific records (for example invoice, audit, security or accounting records) may be kept where the law, security or accounting rules require it. Active subscriptions must be reviewed or canceled before deletion is completed. We'll notify you when deletion is complete.
Not advice
Creator CFO is an organizational tool. It does not provide legal, tax or accounting advice. See our Terms of Service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll post the revised version here with a new "last updated" date and notify you where required.
